Dawgs Take the West Coast - Feb 25, 2013
The Dawgs went 4-0 in California, putting them at 6-0 on the season. It was a weekend full of fast-paced play, aggressive defensive, and diversified attack. The Dawgs continued to prove themselves as an "all-around" team with different players stepping up each game. The weekend started off with a hard fought game against Texas. The Dawgs came out with a 9-6 finish, proving the strength of their defense. Saturday started at the "Pit", the fields used by the UCSB Men's team that is purposely designed to trip up the opponent... literally. The Dawgs were able to adjust, though ground balls were less than pretty, and got the W with a 14-7 win. After a quick break, the Dawgs were back on the field, this time turf. The fast pace of the game worked to their advantage as they came right out the gate against Michigan. Michigan adjusted and came back to give the Dawgs a run for their money, but that didnt stop UGA from taking another win. Georgia beat Michigan 12-8. After three hard games, the DAWGS came out looking tired in the first half against UVA, Sunday. However, UGA came out of halftime with fire and ran away with the game, outscoring UVA 10-2 in the second half. Dawgs won 13-6 to take the sweep on the weekend, heading home with a 6-0 record on the season.

21? Yep, you heard right. - Feb 10, 2013
The dawgs got their second win of the season when they beat Tennessee 21 to 3 this Saturday. UGA started the game with 6 unanswered goals and came into halftime with a 12-2 lead. Despite the scoreboard, the dawgs looked as though some of their energy from the first game had escaped them. However, UGA came out of the gates after the half with fervor, finishing the game with high intensity. Everyone on the team played, and played great at that. Coaches Weinstein and Tietz were happy with the day and excited about the tournament in California next weekend. Expect great things for the dawgs this season, they're ready to rock.

Big Wins for the Dawgs against in-state rival, GA Tech - Feb 10, 2013
The Dawgs took on Georgia Tech Saturday morning, coming out on top 15 to 5. It was a fast pace game full of pressure defense and fast break goals. UGA looked mid-season ready as they passed the ball with confidence and played like a team. With 9 different dawg players putting points on the board, it seems this entire squad is a threat. The defense played with higher intensity than ever, knocking down passes left and right and delivering on ground balls. Senior goalie, Emily Seidel, had a tremendous opening game, playing up to every expectation. The dawgs finished the game in high spirits and took a quick break before hitting the field for the second game of the day.
